Alison’s early career saw her work across the full array of functions within two financial services business. This breadth created a great bedrock of knowledge and experience that has been invaluable as her career and passion moved in to business change.
After a period working as a consultant in utilities and financial services, she is now head of change at UK Asset Resolution (UKAR), the state owned organisation set up to manage the ‘run off’ books of Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley. From the ashes of this very difficult time in banking, Alison’s team have been a key part in creating a commercial future and a return to private ownership for this organisation.
Alison recommends:
-

-
Books – Brene Brown – The Power of Vulnerability, Richard Branson – Business Stripped Bare and currently listing to Amy Cuddy – Presence
-
Her top tips – “If you want to succeed in business just be YOU, don’t presume that you need to be like Richard Branson et al”
